My name is Mike

I’m born and raised in Northern Michigan and recently made the move back to Southeast Michigan with the goal to bring something to the community in this circle between Flint and Metro Detroit.

I’ll try to keep this short-

I went to barber college in Indianapolis, working for a year as a barber in Bloomington Indiana and some big life changes found my way to Los Angeles with the goal to work at a phenomenal barber shop in Venice. After being persistent and chasing that opportunity, I spent a year and a half growing and learning from that team which truly developed the majority of my skill sets, attention to detail and business/client relations side of the industry. Life lead me to Nashville at the beginning of 2019 where I worked at a shop which was another awesome learning experience with a fun team but that got an unfortunate stop when Covid came into all of our lives.

I had a plan at that point to make the move back to Michigan and open a shop in Traverse City but had some time to develop that plan due to the pandemic and was offered a learning experience to assist the owner in LA in learning how to open their new location so I could see the process. Those months gave me enough knowledge to bring back to Michigan and open a shop up north called Great Lakes Barber Shop, which was successful but closed shortly after my leaving.

I spent 6 months searching for spaces in this area and kept coming up empty with what I was looking for, I decided that mobile was the route I was going to try. It is a great mix of community, convenience, luxury service and adventure all tied into one and I’m really looking forward to providing the services of making people feel better and getting to know them at the same time.
